Day 185-Jewellery holder

I made another one similar to this earlier in the year.... (feb 9)

I started with an old hessian bag

-sketch a female face silhouette onto thick cardboard
 - cut it out
-cut out two pieces of hessian in the same shape (but ensure to leave seam allowance)
-sew your hessian together (be very careful as the hessian frays like crazy!)
 attach your bling

I looooovvvvveeee jewellery!! Bigger the better! old, new, bright and fun
so its great to have a place to display it like these silhouette faces!

Day 184-Guest Blogger Monday's!!!

Its week four of "Guest Blogger Monday's!!" Thanks to all our crafting friends who have shared their creative projects so far!
If you have a craft adventure to share please email me at broncobowerman@hotmail.com

Okay this week's crafty project is by Miss Caroline Metzler and her good friend Emma Guthrey.
I have known Caroline since I was 8 years old!! and not only is she a fantastic friend with a great sense of humour! she is also a brilliant mum to TWINS!!! check out her craft project below....

Caroline- "Ever been roped into a "Super Hero" themed party but couldn't find a costume in time? The old cape and headband might do the trick."

Step 1 - choose aeronautical themed fabric....
Step 2 - Cut out cape shape and overlock

Step 3 - cut out tie for the cape and overlock edge. Press flat so that the cape sits inside the crease, making it easy to sew together
Step 4 - Stitch on the tie
Step 4 - make headband - use a strip of material, overlock the edges, sew on a super button

Step 6 - find your Super Hero model

ADORABLE!!!! AUNTY BRONNY MISS'S YOU BOTH!!!!

Day 183 Green Eggs and Ham

Today's craft involves upcycling a second hand print t-shirt...

Step one--- cut the middle section of the t-shirt (front and back) into two rectangles
cut some black jersey fabric the same size for the lining
use your overlocker to join the sides, creating two cylinders (one green, one black) then join these two, bagging them out so the black fabric becomes the lining for your neck scarf.
WALAH! green eggs and ham neck scarf for those chilly winter mornings! plus you have upcycled an old garment giving it new life!!
if its really cold you can pull it up over your head

Day 182 celebrating the halfway mark!!!

Yep! today is officially the halfway mark for the 365 day project! and what did i do to celebrate?? I made craft of course!
I wanted to work on a few projects today so I was a little ahead of time (I always start with the best intentions on finishing 7 projects in 1 day... and then work on about 4 different things and possibly finish 1!)
So today I set off to the shops with a list of materials which I needed for all these projects, I got home, made a cup of tea and got started with the glue gun. I'd bought 5 packets of glue sticks for the glue gun because I keep running out! and then ten minutes into the project BANG! AND A BIG PUFF OF SMOKE! the glue gun had exploded and shorted the power! So there I was with 5 packets of glue, all my materials and a dead glue gun!!!! so I had to head back down the road to buy another one!
Anyways, tonight's project is below...

Lots of glue!!!

 felt
 my label on the back

upcycling a crocheted motif
walah!
 bright and fun!

Day 180 well actually 181

So I realised the other day that I had repeated the number of the day two days in a row... so its actually day 181 (I never claimed to be good at maths, ha ha ha).

The exciting news is that tomorrow is day 182!!! (why is that exciting you ask?) because that marks the halfway point of the 365 days of craft!! A guy I work with said to me "wow that went fast".... and I responded "for you maybe!"

Today's craft started out in one direction and has ended up in another...

I had the idea to use some old thread spools as the body for some pop up dolls (I picked up the thread spools from Resource Rescue).

my plan was to cover the spool with felt, use a piece of dowl as the puppet stick, and attached the sun on the top of the stick (which you can then hide inside the spool and pop out of the spool creating your own little puppet show)
So I started making a happy sunny face with the plan to make a series of "weather" pop up dolls

Except my sun ended up too fat to fit into the spool!!
So plan B is to use my weather faces for a kids mobile.
I do plan to still use the spools as the body for pop up dolls, but I will have to make smaller heads!

for now mr sunny joins some of the other crafty creations in the basil pot
