Day 110-finishing the ipad case

So finally tonight I have finished andee's ipad case!

I have also been hand stitching up a storm for some very unique wedding gifts....hmmmm you will just have to wait and see.

I think andee is very glad to finally have a snug for the much loved ipad (i almost felt like stitching his name on the back ha ha, like your library bag in school!)

Day 97-Frilly Bloomers

Tonight I...
arrived home at 6pm,
poured a glass of wine and cleaned the kitchen
finished a wine on the deck with my fiancee
started on craft, whilst fiancee started on dinner
made a pattern
cut out fabric
sewed some gathering stitch, gathered frills in front of the tv
ate dinner
continued to sew, and sew, and sew....took photos, finished...10.40pm
another long crafty night...
ITS 3 DAYS till day 100!!! woot woot! what a feat! tiring but also very rewarding! I hope you are all enjoying the journey.

 sketched a quick pattern from a sample

choose and cut out fabric

gathered some long strips for the frills

 finished the edge of the frill with the overlocker

attach your frills to the back panel before sewing the pant together,

then stitch the pant together and create a seam for the elastic to be pulled thru the edges

(once your edge seams are done the best and easiest way to pull the elastic thru the hole is to join a safety pin to the end of the elastic and use the safety pin as your lever/guide to help the elastic all the way thru)

I cannot believe its the end of march!!
Bring on April! my birthday, my sister's wedding and my trip to San Fran, New York and LA!!

Tonight i have covered a little notebook in felt,

i love working with felt! lincraft have a super range of colours! felt is great because there is no need for edging! just cut it into shape and glue

Day 84-Ipad cover birthday present

Tomorrow is my beautiful fiancee andee's birthday!! So of course I am crafting him up a birthday gift,
and considering last night he stayed up till 1am to order the new IPAD 2, it made my gift pretty self explanatory... a padded ipad cover with a skull logo on it of course!
I havent quite finished it tonight, I will continue it tomorrow (its been a long day at work, we have been filming a shoot for work, so i have been merchandising and making ALL DAY already...)

Day 80-Statue of liberty cushion

Tonight's craft is the third cushion in the series, the statue of liberty cushion.

I am super excited as I will be visiting the "big apple" next month (end apr/start may)

Day 79-Paree cushion!!

Tonight's cushion is the eiffel tower print.
I have very fond memories of the eiffel tower as my beautiful fiancee proposed to me when we visited there two years ago, see pics below of the cushion, and a happy snap of us there!

Day 78-The Taj Cushion

This weekend my sister Rachael is staying and anyone who stays at my place nowadays realizes that craft is compulsory! see pic below as rach helps out...

Yesterday I was at one of my fav shops called "The Works" ( mainly homewares ) and they had a 3 pack tea towel set with iconic prints on it, funny thing is that the 3 places are meaningful to me, i was in paris two years back with my fiancee and he proposed to me at the eiffel tower, then last year i was in india and visted the taj mahal and then next month i am heading to new york!! so i had to buy them and whip up some more cushions. 

Today's cushion is the "taj".
