March 31st-reflecting on the month that has been

I cannot believe its the end of march!!
Bring on April! my birthday, my sister's wedding and my trip to San Fran, New York and LA!!
see below the last three months of crafty creations as well as tonight's craft...

Tonight i have covered a little notebook in felt, 

ingredients required...

-note book

-glue

-vintage bits and bobs

-needle & thread

i love working with felt! lincraft have a super range of colours! felt is great because there is no need for edging! just cut it into shape and glue

Day 89-i heart craft tote bag

Following on from last night I have printed some "i heart craft" tote bags

Day 88-i heart craft

Tonight I have used my screen printing talents to print some "i heart craft" posters, perfect for framing in the craft room. Again I used the hand cut contact technique and then stuck this to the screen (ensuring to mask off all the edges). I have used some bright card to make the prints pop.
Unfortunately there was still some sections of the screen that had emulsion on it (from a previous photographic print) so the print has a few areas where the ink coverage is not coming all the way thru) i did use the degreaser and a high pressure hose to scrub the screens a couple weeks back, but obviously it needs another going over... oh well I am learning.

Day 87-Hand sewn badge of craft honor!

Tonight I sat down after dinner with a box of felt, lace buttons and thread.... and this happened...

Day 86 - Vintage upcycled brooch.

Last night was a blast and we're still recovering, so today I put together a simple but effective brooch from bits and pieces of broken jewelery and other little recycled trinkets. 

Simply glue onto a brooch back:

And voila! 

Turned out a little bit art deco and a little bit steam punk.

Day 85-House warming and Andee's birthday!!!

Tonight is Andee's birthday and our house warming so today I have spent preparing our home for the party.  I made a table from a crate I got from our local fruit store. I think it looks really cute with the red chairs out the front of our place.

Day 84-Ipad cover birthday present

Tomorrow is my beautiful fiancee andee's birthday!! So of course I am crafting him up a birthday gift,
and considering last night he stayed up till 1am to order the new IPAD 2, it made my gift pretty self explanatory... a padded ipad cover with a skull logo on it of course!
I havent quite finished it tonight, I will continue it tomorrow (its been a long day at work, we have been filming a shoot for work, so i have been merchandising and making ALL DAY already...)
