Today has been a rainy ol saturday, perfect day for lots of cups of tea and crafting up a storm!
Despite my best of intentions of getting a few craft projects done today, i have completed one and its already 3.45pm! I did manage to sketch a few ideas for the week, but when you are making something from scratch which you have not made before it always takes five times as long (pattern making, trial and error and the worst... "unpicking" agh i shudder when i here that word).
The theme for this week is going to be the "winter blues", all this rainy gloomy weather does take its toll on the soul... It is good to sit inside and reflect, drink lots of tea... but i miss the sunlight... So i am hoping a range of bright blue wintery crafts will perk me up.
Today I have made a reversable neck cuff/head band, its a replacement for the scarf, something you can just slip over your head to keep your neck warm. I am really happy with how this worked out and might make a few of these in varying colours this week, see the process below...
fabric
i used the rolled hem function on my super new brother overlocker to finish the edges of on these circles
walah, neck cuff, reversable with detachable flower brooch
first option
its basically a bagged out cylinder (and its stretchy fabric) so you just pull it off an on over your head
Option 2, wear it as a large headband (with or without the detachable flower brooch)
or take the brooch off and wear it on your outfit as a normal brooch would be worn
craft out
